Boylan Bash 2016 is almost here!

boylan bash 2014

When is it?     Sunday August 21st, 4pm to 7pm

What is it?    The Big Boylan Bash is a chance for neighbors to get together on a Sunday afternoon in August to hear great live music, socialize, eat and sample some tasty beverages. In the process we also raise  money for the Boylan Heights Neighborhood Association. There will also be a bounce house and mounted officers from RPD for the kids!

Where is it?  Dupont Circle Park (near the corner of S. Boylan Ave and Dupont Circle)

The Bands?  The exciting news is that we have have three bands scheduled to play the Bash:  New Orleans Masqueraders, Hearts & Daggers, and I am Maddox.  Check out the links to their music and make sure to come out to support.

The Sponsors?  So far we have received generous support from the Northgate Group, Councilman Russ Stephenson, CitySpace Homes, Domino’s Pizza, Blam! Studios, Interactive Playgrounds, Moonlight Pizza, Bliss Real Estate, Captain Cookie, Citrix, Capital Area Ob/Gyn, Trophy Brewing, Clancy & Theys, Peter Rumsey of MetroDigs, Historic Raleigh Living of Fonville Morisey and Studio Joyeux.

More information is coming soon about additional activities, sponsors, and raffle prizes.

Boylan Heights to Celebrate National Night Out

Our neighborhood will join thousands of communities across the nation on Tuesday, August 4th to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood unity at the annual National Night Out. Continuing our tradition, we invite you to a neighborhood walk and ice cream social to meet and greet neighbors. The walk will begin at 7:00 pm and we will wind through the neighborhood gathering up residents as we pass (the vicinity of) your house. Further details on the route are coming to the website. We will arrive at the Project Enlightenment playground and have free ice cream from 7:45 to 8:15 pm. Come out and join in the fun! To promote neighborhood safety and unity we encourage you to purchase a Neighborhood Watch sign to display on your house. During the month of July we are offering a special price of $10 per sign, plus free installation. Each house displaying the sign as of July 31st will be entered into a drawing for a stunning prize to be awarded at the NNO ice cream social. Get in the action, today!
